URBAN IMPRINT
Our project seeks to generate significant impact by connecting universities, municipalities and communities to promote social and educational transformation in Europe and beyond. Through collaboration and innovation, we aim to build a more just and sustainable future for all.
The project is framed within the promotion of universities as catalysts for social and public innovation in collaboration with municipalities and communities. We recognize universities as knowledge centers with untapped potential to address local challenges and promote sustainable urban and rural agendas. We focus on European networking to share successful practices, develop tools and promote policies that strengthen collaboration between universities and municipalities in solving common problems.
Our main objective is to establish strong partnerships between universities and municipalities to address local challenges defined by the Urban Agendas. In doing so, we seek not only to improve public management and higher education, but also to promote citizen participation and foster democratic values. To achieve this, we will implement different models of science-policy dialogue and public innovation, focusing on methodologies such as living labs and data mining.
We emphasize the importance of multilevel collaboration and interconnection between European university systems to address global challenges such as digital transformation and climate change. Our project not only brings value at the local level, but also aims to create synergies at the European level, thus contributing to building a more inclusive and sustainable society.
Universities, as centers of academic and research excellence, have a wealth of intellectual and technical resources that can be used to address a wide variety of urban challenges. Establishing strong and strategic links with universities is a crucial investment for cities seeking to remain at the forefront of progress and modernity.
