The École nationale supérieure d'architecture de Paris-La Villette is the largest of the 21 accredited schools in France in terms of number of students. It was founded in 1969 as Unité pédagogique n°6 (UPA n°6), with the aim of training people to work in all professional fields involved in the production of architecture, cities and spaces. The school has chosen to build a "school open to all" and to varied profiles, with quotas divided by course of study.
The teaching provided at ENSAPLV is distinguished by its particular openness to the humanities and to the plastic and visual arts. ENSAPLV's decision to become a member of the HESAM University CoMUE was guided by its strategic decision to open itself to a wide range of career paths. This positioning is consistent with the identity of the ENSAPLV, whose size and critical mass favor the definition of multiple partnerships with other institutions.
Another distinctive feature of the school is its international vocation. Since its inception, ENSAPLV has been particularly active in the development of international partnerships, offering students and professors academic stays (balanced incoming and outgoing mobility) as well as workshops abroad. These allow students, in cooperation with foreign students and professors, to familiarize themselves with a wide range of urban contexts. The School also welcomes a large number of professors and researchers from diverse backgrounds, who are fully involved in the development of its teaching programs and in the pursuit of international openness as an integral part of their teaching.
In terms of its scientific potential, the ENSAPLV has long developed a broad research activity, whose objective is to produce knowledge with a view to participating in the evolution of architecture, urban planning and landscape architecture and their adaptation to the changes of the planet and society. More than 120 research professors (including a dozen scientific directors authorized to conduct research - HdR) attached to six research teams and/or units make up the rich research potential of the institution. The teams work in the fields of architecture, urban planning, territories and landscape, drawing on philosophy, sociology, anthropology, history, ergonomics, geography, computer science, cognitive sciences and design sciences. The first research teams were created in the late 1970s.

Anne D'Orazio graduated in architecture in 1995 and obtained a master's degree in research on urbanism and territories in 2006. Anne D'Orazio is an architect and urban planner. She is also a PhD in urban and land planning since 2017 and a professor at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Architecture Paris la Villette (ENSAPLV), where she has been teaching since 1995. Her work focuses on the fabrication of the ordinary contemporary city and questions the modalities and regimes of negotiation between stakeholders (civil society, political world, etc.).
His current research focuses on:
-Participatory approaches in urban production and, more specifically, on the development of participatory housing in France;
-The political mobilization of "visible minorities" in the political-institutional space of the Parisian metropolis.
-The forms of partnership between civil society and public action in the development of local ecological transition policies.
Anne D'Orazio is also Vice-President in charge of development at HESAM University, President of the Board of Directors of ENSAPLV, member of the Organizing Committee of the national network of ENSAs on ecological transition, in charge of the Master seminar "Habitat and Sustainable City, for a critical approach to the urban fabric" of ENSAPLV, expert of the National Network of Communities for Participatory Housing (RNCHP), and member of the Scientific Council of the RESEARCH NETWORK ON HOUSING (REHAL).

Nicolas is a sociologist dedicated to the development of projects combining environmental awareness, art, local action-research and innovative pedagogy.
After studying sociology at the Ecole Normale Supérieure (ENS Ulm) and a master's degree at Sciences Po Paris (Environmental policies, research work under the direction of Aleksandar Rankovic (IDDRI) on biodiversity policies in Paris and wild bees), Nicolas Delaffon turned to teaching and pedagogy, structuring the social sciences teaching of an interdisciplinary environmental degree at PSL University.
While continuing to teach, in 2023, he joined Hesam Université to manage the "1000 doctorants pour les territoires" program, which aims to train local authorities while offering doctoral candidates the opportunity to conduct long-term research for a local administration. In 2024, it joined the ACTEE program (FNCCR) to manage a call for projects to fund theses on energy renovation in local authorities.

After a first professional experience of 10 years as an Audience Manager at the Odeon National Theater, Brigitte Corinthios obtained a Master's degree in local and sustainable development in 2008 and participated in the management of a Local Energy Agency for 12 years. She thus developed a solid expertise in the field of energy, housing and social affairs, as well as in the field of local public policies and territorial organizations, with the same common thread: broadening the audience and getting local actors to dialogue and cooperate, ready to accelerate the ecological, social and cultural transformation towards a more just transition.
In 2022, she trained in a new responsible economic approach, the functional and cooperative economy (FCE), which provided her with the missing link to meet the challenges of the transition: there is no transition without a change of economic model. Self-employed, she is now a member of the Coop'Ter research intervention program as an assistant where she supports local dynamics to create "territorial cooperative ecosystems" (ECT) to meet climate, energy and social challenges.
She also works for the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Architecture Paris la Villette (ENSAPLV), where she is involved in the Urban Imprint program and in the creation of a new diploma dedicated to energy renovation.
In addition, Brigitte Corinthios is an administrator of two associations in which she participates: the FCE Regional Club in the Ile-de-France Region and the IVE Local Energy Agency in the East of Paris.
